This used to be more prevalent back before 3.0 when you had to actually spec into pushback protection, but now every class gets a reduction on it as part of some passive. This ability can also be used in the gap slot for some rotational AoE, though make sure at least one target gets hit by the entire thing. Its still a noticeable DPS increase for the specs that provide it, but as a DPS debuff and piece of raid utility, it doesnt matter. Note: You can also utilize the Energy Regulator implant in exchange for Locked and Loaded, allowing you to give up the Energy Barrels ability tree buff, without losing DPS, but you dont gain any DPS on the dummy while Locked and Loaded is more generically useful. This build is super fun for solo content since it enables you to one-hit kill Standard enemies with Aimed Shot autocrits, making you really feel like a Gunslinger. Its pretty straightforward, it increases your alacrity by more than enough to get you from the 1.4s GCD to the 1.3s GCD and lasts long enough to allow you to get an extra ability in the same amount of time, which means you can fit Penetrating Rounds alongside the additional Trickshot into the gap in your rotation. These benefits include; High DPS as you can focus your damage on specific targets and take them out with ease. This is why theres always so much emphasis on the AoE RDT buffs and part of why Gunslingers should generally have very low DTPS.
