service in a theatre of operations in which civilian clothing is provided by the Crown or paid for by the Crown; imprisonment or detention in a service prison or detention barracks; rehabilitation or retirement leave, or posting on the Service Personnel Holding List (SPHL); special, maternity or parental leave, except that a member in receipt of Civilian Dress Assistance Allowance continues to be entitled to Civilian Dress Assistance Allowance while on special leave if the member proceeds on maternity leave immediately after the special leave; attendance as a student on duty on an official languages course, Staff College, Advanced Military Studies Course, National Security Course or other course or learning activity, or a subsidized education program at a civilian university; or.
